STUDY OF SERUM CALCIUM, CREATININE AND URIC ACID IN HYPOTHYROID PATIENTS

Aim: The study is to determine Serum Calcium, Creatinine and Uric acid levels in hypothyroidism cases. Materials methods: A total of 25cases were selected randomly for one year from SVRRGGH, Tirupati with exclusion criteria (renal disease, bone diabetes mellitus other medical conditions patients who are on medication that going affect purines mineral metabolism). Sca2+, creatinine SUA done Erbachem 5X thyroid hormones chemiluminescence. Results: mean values serum calcium low high p value <0.0001 considered highly significant TSH correlated this parameters knowing effect renal function, purine metabolism. Conclusion : Hypothyroidism need be regularly evaluated these parameters, as early detection correction can prevent the complications associated metabolic dysfunction.
